What your child needs FOR Pre-School

  • To wear clothes that are easy to take off when going to the toilet. We ask that they are toilet trained, preferably.

  • To have sleeves that can be easily rolled up for wet or messy activities.

  • To only bring toys in on a Monday (for morning children) or a Tuesday (for afternoon children) when we have a ‘show and tell’ time.

  • A healthy packed lunch if staying for lunch (after 12 noon).

  • To bring a bag of fruit or vegetables weekly which are shared amongst the children at snack time.

  • Not to bring sweets, cakes or nuts.

Settling into Pre-School

Parents stay with their children until they are settled. We will ask you to return to the group if your child is distressed in any way during the settling-in period.

For the sake of your child, please be prompt at the start and end of each session.

Safety in the Pre-school

We go to exceptional lengths to provide a safe environment for your child. In the event of an accident needing medical treatment we will take appropriate action and contact you.

  • All members of staff hold current Paediatric First Aid Certificates.

  • All staff undertake regular Safeguarding Training.

  • All staff are DBS checked.

Parents / Carers

We recognise parents as the first and foremost educators of their young children.

We welcome you to assist in the group. We rely on parent/carers to help on a regular basis and sign up on our rota.

We want parents to participate and attend our annual AGM, to assist with fundraising and take part in the management of the pre-school.

A termly donation of essential consumables e.g tissues, flour, oil, anti-bacterial wipes.
