St. James Pre-School is a registered charity and a non-profit organisation.
Charity number: 1063711
Our money comes from:
Fees and voluntary contributions from parents
Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE) government funding
N.B. Children receive the EYFE funding the term after their third birthday.
Our money is spent on:
Staff salaries, training, rent and administration costs.
Materials and play equipment for the children.
Enrichment programmes. These have included Enjoy-a-Ball, Sing-along-with Selda, Little Imaginations and Little London Ballet.
Children Under Three:
Children under three, and until the term after their third birthday, pay a fee of £8 per hour.
From the term following the child’s third birthday:
Those in receipt of Early Years Free Entitlement can attend 15 hours per week (flexibility and extra hours are available).
We are able to offer 27 hours extended entitlement.
We ask for a voluntary contribution of £2.50 per hour
A fee of £20 per half term towards our enrichment programme of extra activities.
Unfunded, extended hours
£10 per hour.
£7 for breakfast club 8.30 to 9.00 am.
Upon acceptance of a place, we ask for £35 towards our administration costs and a £100 deposit. The deposit will be refunded against your final term’s fees, with any surplus refunded in full at the end of the notice period.
Fees/voluntary contributions are usually paid in half at the beginning of each half term.
We do not refund fees if your child is absent through illness or on holiday during term time.
We require a month’s notice if you want to withdraw your child from the Pre-School, otherwise we charge a month’s fees from the date on which notice is given.
All children over three years old receive the Early Years Entitlement Funding the term after their third birthday.
The Pre-School would not be able to function without regular Voluntary Contributions from parents. We greatly appreciate it being Gift Aided if you are a tax payer.
Should there be a problem with payment, please speak to the manager, Tracey Sparks.
